As the owner and lead advocate of 4 Kids Advocacy LLC, Becca has been passionately engaged in advocacy work since 2018, providing essential support for families and children with disabilities. She has been advocating for her own son since 2010, ensuring that his public school experience was met with appropriate support and services in his least restrictive environment. With a deep commitment to ensuring that all children receive the services they need, she specializes in advocating for Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) cases, with a strong belief in full inclusion for students with disabilities.
With a career that spans over two decades, Becca has worked in various roles within the special education field. Her professional background includes experience as a teacher, behavior specialist, and program specialist in public schools, where she supported individuals with a wide range of disabilities. Her hands-on experience working with students and families—combined with her expertise in special education law, IDEA, and effective communication—makes her a trusted and knowledgeable advocate.
Though not licensed to practice law, Becca has collaborated with attorneys and is well-versed in special education law, ensuring that families receive the advocacy and support they need to secure the best educational outcomes for their children. Her areas of expertise include writing IEP goals, behavior plans, functional behavior assessments (FBA), and transition plans. She is also trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Structured Teaching TEACCH Model, and Pivotal Response Training (PRT).
Becca holds a Master’s degree in Special Education and a teaching credential in moderate/severe disabilities. She has also completed specialized courses in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Tech University. Her work is particularly focused on advocating for appropriate Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) which includes well developed present levels, IEP goals, appropriate services and supports. Additionally, Becca has several years of experience in developing comprehensive transition plans. She collaborates with organizations for individuals with Down syndrome to ensure comprehensive support.
As a mother of four—one of whom has autism and another who is gifted—Becca brings both professional expertise and personal experience to her advocacy work. Her dedication is fueled by a passion for helping families navigate the complexities of special education and access the services their children deserve.
